Presidents Digest 9.13.19

Greetings Presidents!

Please make sure you stopping in the OFSL to check your chapters mailbox. The president’s digest is a weekly email full of this week’s updates from our office, councils, chapters, CSU and the community.

By condensing, all these emails that were previously sent to you individually into one weekly presidents digest email, we are reducing the overall amount of correspondence you receive. That makes it even more important for you to read through this information thoroughly to ensure you are aware of all relevant information as well as share it with your chapter as appropriate. As the chapter president, you are responsible for knowing all information contained in this email and sharing it with your membership.

Please ensure you read through the entire Presidents Digest and pass along relevant information and opportunities to officers and/or members. While we know that the digest emails are long, we respect your desire to not receive many, many emails each week and thus condense everything in one message. The tradeoff is the expectation for chapter presidents to be familiar with all the information included. Please also note that we are happy to include updates and announcements from chapters and councils in the digest as well.

Order of Omega Applications

  • Order of Omega is a leadership honor society for the members of the fraternity and sorority community. Order of Omega recognizes juniors and seniors who have exemplified high standards in the areas of scholarship, leadership, and involvement within their respective organization and within the fraternity and sorority, campus, and local community. Order of Omega gives high achieving members of our community the opportunity to participate in acts of community service that go above and beyond the requirements of their individual organizational membership. While our chapter organizes several community-wide service events, many of the projects completed by our members are self-directed and reflect their varied interests, passions, and personal service desires.
  • The application can be found here.
  • To be considered for the selection of the Fall 2019 class, please submit your application no later than October 14.
