Mission Statement

Sigma Omega Nu, Latina Interest Sorority Incorporated was founded on the three objectives of academics, cultura and sisterhood. Our eight Founding Mothers provided a foundation where sisters could strengthen cultural, personal and educational goals while promoting moral, academic and familial support.

We currently have seventeen active chapters in California, Nevada and Colorado, all with unique characteristics but with one binding commitment and love for Sigma Omega Nu (SON). We empower our sisters to support one another and to give back to their communities. Each of our chapters has their own philanthropy, which grants them the autonomy to identify the unique needs of their respective community and to build relationships locally and regionally.
