SUMMARY:Fall Clean Up
DESCRIPTION:The City of Fort Collins Neighborhood Services Office and Off-Campus Life at Colorado State University are teaming up for the 19th Annual Fall Clean Up event. The program will kick off at 9:00am Saturday, Nov. 4th throughout the Fort Collins community and will run until 2:00pm. In 2022, 1,500 CSU student/staff volunteers raked leaves, washed windows, cleaned gutters, trimmed bushes, and assisted in other yard work tasks, supporting 250+ elderly and/or physically limited community members who needed help maintaining their yards for the fall season.\n \nEach year, Neighborhood Services and Off-Campus Life has the privilege of reading many thank you notes from elderly residents sharing that the yard maintenance done during Fall Clean Up makes it possible for them get their homes ready for the fall and winter seasons.\n \nAdditionally, the residents often share that their favorite part of the event is the chance to chat and laugh with students they otherwise would not have met: “I was so impressed with the spirit of giving, teamwork, and leadership. Thanks to the future of America. They were great and I’m grateful! These were a wonderful group that did a beautiful job with smiles, laughter, and very hard work! What a pleasure to have them!Words alone can’t describe how grateful I am. These young men not only did a great job, they did so with humility and thanked me for letting them care for my yard.”\nWe need your help! It is because of your assistance that we are able to complete the hundreds of neighbor projects. Please don’t miss out on helping a neighbor in need this year! Each year, members of the fraternity and sorority community make up a good number of our volunteers. To volunteer, groups of 6 or more should sign up at https://ocl.colostate.edu/volunteer/fall-clean-up/.\n \nThe volunteer registration deadline is October 13th.\n
