The Fraternity and Sorority Leadership Institute (FSLI) offers a unique leadership experience for Colorado State University fraternity and sorority leadership. At leadership conferences, there is an assumption that the participants attend sessions to learn from the presenters, who are viewed to be the experts of the topic. At an institute, participants with different experiences and backgrounds engage in a variety of exercises and activities, called to play the role of both the teacher and the learner at different times throughout the weekend. Learning is the primary objective of FSLI, and in order for learning to occur, students need to be moved from their comfort zone to their learning edge. Ideally, students have the opportunity learn while thinking individually and organizationally, as well as community-wide. Authentic conversation about the reality for our students and our fraternity and sorority community at Colorado State is the primary objective, and is necessary for creating positive change. Participants at FSLI include chapter presidents and all governing council officers.Curriculum to be delivered by Council Advisor and Council President at some point throughout the month of February.
